Our friends at FASHIONCLASH present FASHIONCLASH Festival 2021 Edition #13!
During the three-day hybrid - on- & offline program - festival, a new generation of designers and performing artists from the Netherlands and abroad will have the opportunity to show their work to a broad (inter)national audience.
The program of exhibitions, fashion and theater performances, talks, workshops and film screenings, showcases projects that explore, contextualize and celebrate contemporary fashion culture.
The program consists of a selection from the submitted proposals and from the projects initiated by FASHIONCLASH itself that are being developed in co-production with other organizations.
The Clash House: talent development trajectory and presentations from five designers
The Clash House program is a showcase for a radical and a game-changing new generation of designers and artists, focusing on cross-overs with fashion and other art disciplines. Participants are challenged to experiment with presentation forms in which storytelling, embodied experience and inclusivity are central.
The Clash House participants: Bobbine Berden Design, Carlijn Veurink, TEUN, THE NIGHTMARE DISORDER, TheNEWtribe
New Fashion Narratives: a virtual showcase with performances and installations
New Fashion Narratives represents the current generation of designers, performers and artists who see fashion as a mission. They investigate the boundaries of their discipline, question social systems - specifically the fashion industry. With their works they move between the transdisciplinary domains of fashion, social design, visual art and investigate the relationship with the user / consumer. With this program, contemporary themes and innovative projects are introduced and thus new narratives for fashion are created.
Fashion Film & Video: a program with fashion films, videos and digital fashion
In this digital era, fashion film (short film) is one of the best ways to capture a fashion narrative and to reach a wide audience via online platforms and media. Besides the fashion film genre, there has been a rise of digital fashion in recent years and additionally, many designers have been digitally presenting their new work in the form of a video or film out of necessity, because of COVID-19.
and many more!!!
