About
My approach to design delicately curates immersive experience through emotive feeling. Colour, texture and technical applications are my hum of happiness. I find inspiration through interior spaces, architecture, unexpected details and experiences of life. My knitted specialism explores fabric that has meaning, conveying serene communication between my design practice and people who interact with my work.
This project explores biophilic trends in response to the current anxious consumer of our digitally saturated society. Drawing on trend observations and thorough research, it focuses on domestic spaces of comfort and retreat, where individuals seek emotional and physical reassurance. Through lighting ambience inspired by sunlight, shadow, and indirect biophilic reflections, my work evokes a sense of freedom, calm, and natural immersion. A fresh, serene colour palette is harmonised by trickling streaming highlights to mimic sun rays through the use of monofilament. Therefore, enhancing emotional wellbeing. Music also informed my making process, supporting a multi-sensory approach that reconnects our interior spaces with the authenticity and restorative qualities of nature.
