About
Nay is a senior at the Academy of Art University in San Fransico, studding for their BFA in Costume Design. Nay has worked in all areas of the theater, from acting, to stage craft, special effects, and costumes. This broadened their understanding of the theater world and has helped them fully understand the design process. Nay has been in the theater industry for 15 years. Their first production as a wardrobing assistant was "Legally Blonde" in 2015. Since then, Nay has worked on multiple productions as both a wardrobe assistant and second designer.Nay’s inspiration comes from their love of historical fashion and bringing it into a modern setting. They believe that just like fashion, costumes evolve while paying tribute to their foundations.
This was a student project where the assignment was to break down an A-list film and create 10 rendered designs for character's within the story. This was a project that focused on breaking down a script and creating designs based on the script's prompts.
