About
I'm a 3rd year textiles student at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, specialising in knit, with an interest in community art, art therapy and sustainable textile design. I studied HNC Contemporary Art Practice at Dundee and Angus College and graduated with an A, and am now studying a BDes(Hons) in textile design.I have previously run art classes with support from Uppertunity and Changemakers to support disabled adults in Dundee, as well as volunteering with local mental health charities, and I am looking to complete more voluntary work in this sector in the future. I have just completed my Signature-accredited level 3 qualification in BSL (British Sign Language).
This project was part of my 3rd year expansive filmmaking module. We worked in pairs to create a 5-minute film of any genre. With my partner, I made a documentary about a local arts and mental health charity called ArtAngel. This was my first ever film, so it was a big learning curve, but I hope to make more in future as well as hopefully revisit this project to create a longer film in future when I have more time and no constraints from a brief.
