Aurelia is a Singaporean fashion design graduate with a passion for tactile techniques like crochet and embroidery. Being a fashion design major, she translates her love for craft into wearable, whimsical garments that are focused on communicating the human touch that goes into garment-making. Throughout her studies, Aurelia has been featured by Vogue Singapore and Harper's Bazaar Singapore, and has had her work exhibited at prestigious events like the Earthshot Prize and Singapore Design Week. She is a Singapore Fashion Council Scholar and is committed to making her mark on the local fashion scene.
Inspired by the struggles of acne, the deliberate focus on polka dots symbolizes the transformation of imperfections into individuality, playfully showcasing how they can be portrayed to highlight one's quirkiness and charm. This collection was created for my Advanced Diploma in Fashion Design Graduation, which was judged based on the creativity of concept and commercial viability.
