About

Born and raised in a small town in Uruguay, I am a passionate person who is always looking for something to do. On the outside I seem calm but inside my mind is planning, creating, designing and imagining thousands of ideas, stories and things to do.They say that to be a designer or artist you must be emotional, I can surely cross that off the bucket list. I like to feel and show my thoughts, my identity, sense of humor, weaknesses, all that translated through garments, which is what I’m passionate about and what I’ve been doing for years.Travelling and discovering new cultures is something I inheritated from my family. I have always liked to go for new adventures, meet new people, talk different languages. 4 years has passed since I arrived to Barcelona with just one suitcase and I see how everything helped me to get to know myself and realise that I am on an uncertain but very interesting path. "Fashion is a cow" the name of my final collection at IED Barcelona, it is inspired by a remix of experiences, which identify myself and at the same time not, in my vision of my roots, an introspection in which I analyse my most bizarre, real and urban side and I enhance it.I'm interested in focusing on the mundane, on what happens on the streets, the kitsch and incoherent of people and places. The combination of prints, textures, fabrics and volumes is a fundamental aspect in the collection to convey the concept of chaos-visual coherence. Irony, a sense of humour, the bizarre and exaggerated, are key words that are part of this creative universe that I have created in "Fashion is a cow".

Inspired by a remix of experiences that identify myself and at the same time not, "Fashion is a cow" is an introspection in which I analyse my most bizarre, real and urban side and I enhance it. Prints are the common thread of the collection, where with photographs, drawings and different materials I represent traditions, experiences, food, people and places of the Uruguay I identify as part of my identity.
