Aspiring student currently studying Fashion Design BA Hons at University of Central Lancashire and working alongside as a Sales Assistant/Visual Merchandiser at New Look. Throughout my UCLan journey I have received a mixture of 1st and 2.1s in the various modules I have completed. I thoroughly enjoy aspects of the design process such as design development, garment construction and trend research.
found - deadstock fabric outfit
For this module, I had to create a cohesive outfit using only deadstock fabrics that were provided to me and also taking inspiration from a shape I found interesting! I took inspiration from a Rolodex which can be found within offices. I pulled all the shapes I could see out of the Rolodex and then drafted mini mannequin outfits from those shapes. Once I had decided on an outfit I liked I scaled up the small shape pattern pieces into full size pieces and then started to construct the outfit out of my deadstock fabrics.
