About

I'm a Textile Designer, specialized in hand and industrial Knitting, Print and surface design. I'm in my fourth year of studies towards a bachelor's in Textile Design at Shenkar College. . For me, textile is one of the many symbols that we use as a society to communicate our believes. My work explores the ways that our weaknesses, strengths and desires are reflected in textiles, through their production process, the materials they are made from and the structures and patterns that they feature.

From the beginning, mankind has an intricate relationship with nature, the more technologically advanced humanity is the greater the attraction of man to the natural environment. The relentless pursuit of money and material success spawned by the Industrial Revolution, capitalism, and Consumerism will lead us — by the most optimistic predictions — to the point of no return in less than 10 years. What are the values of this new world? A world where cities and even entire continents will become uninhabitable, a world struck by famine, wars and plagues? Will concepts like success and consumerism still be relevant? Or will we go back in time, to past beliefs and reconnect with ancient wisdom? The project consists of hand-knitted attire with textures of ruins, vegetation and organic structures, portraying a story of disintegration and regrowth.
