I am a mixed-media textiles designer with a passion for colour and the art of blending print and stitch techniques. I thrive on exploring innovative ways to combine these elements while ensuring my collections remain cohesive. My work often draws inspiration from the natural world. I also make the most of every trip I take, using them as an opportunity to capture key elements that help evoke a sense of place in my textiles work. This approach also allows me to incorporate architectural influences that feature prominently throughout my collections. My final major project was inspired by the concept of the wealthy hosting an extravagant garden party, envisioning what such an event would look like. Drawing influence from the opulence of Rococo art and the bold costumes created for the Capitol in The Hunger Games, this collection is designed to radiate richness and drama. Through the use of striking colours and a combination of embroidery and vibrant prints, it captures a sense of lavish grandeur.
