About
Joanne O'Rourke is a 2026 MA Fine Art graduate whose multidisciplinary practice explores landscape, material and processes of transformation. Working across monoprint, screenprint, painting, photography, textiles and installation, her work develops through experimentation with colour, surface and process.Her practice is concerned with trace, fragmentation and repetition. Through print and cloth, she works with pressure, transfer, layering and movement, allowing images and materials to change through the process of making.Her background in textile design continues to inform her relationship with surface, colour and material, while her Fine Art practice has expanded these interests through abstraction, scale and installation.

This project delves into the serene beauty of meadows and marshes, showcasing the harmonious interplay of biodiversity within these vital ecosystems. Through textile design, capturing the vibrant rhythms of nature, inspired by the delicate flora and fauna that thrive in these environments. The prints in this collection reflect the rich textures and subtle colour palettes of meadows and marshes, aiming to evoke a sense of tranquility and connection to these often-overlooked landscapes.
