A womenswear fashion designer who specialises in print making and innovative textile design with a focus on outerwear
Hiraeth is a welsh word to describe the feeling of longing for something that is unattainable, for my FMP collection I have linked this feeling to the long term grief of losing my dad at 13 years old. I have focused on the comforts one has to find when living with grief, longing for the comfort of their loved one and clinging to the safety and comfort of childhood when times were happiest, taking inspiration from the superstition “a white feather appears when a loved one is near” I have used real feathers to create the fabrics for my collection, layering chiffon and my own digitally printed organza over the top.
