I am a textile designer based in London, currently studying for a BA in Textile Design at Central Saint Martins. My creative practice focuses on translating poetic reflection into visual and tactile form. By weaving fabrics, I build sensory combinations of color, texture and rhythm - fabrics that are meant to be worn, used and felt. My work always collides between tradition and modernity. I am drawn to ancient and sustainable textile processes such as hand-dyeing, lace-making and embroidery. These techniques allow me to explore emotions, memories and personal identity through the language of materials. I have a keen interest in researching textile heritage and I approach traditional crafts with respect and curiosity, seeking a harmonious balance between historical techniques and contemporary relevance. I value the slowness and individuality of craftsmanship while noting its potential for commercial and applied design. My goal is to create textiles that are not only expressive and meaningful, but also functional, adaptable and resonant in modern lifestyles. Ultimately, I see textiles as a language - a way to translate the inner landscape into forms that can be touched, held and lived with.
