About

Sadie Ellis Ford (Exhibit Sadie) is an Illustrator from South Wales, she graduated in her hometown at Swansea College of Art (UWTSD) with a first-class degree in Illustration, in 2025. Sadie creates detailed artwork, primarily digitally, with a focus on emulating the textures and qualities of traditional mediums. Achieving this look with various brushes and textured overlays, her intention is to create pieces that feel handcrafted.Sadie’s work is often deeply rooted with symbolism, striving to create engaging illustrations with depth and meaning. She is greatly Inspired by Illustrators in the music industry and tattoo world, both of which have influenced and informed Sadie’s artistic identity today. Her compositions frequently incorporate visuals that hold symbolic significance to the piece she's developing. She strives to visually tell the narrative of each brief through her illustrations. Music is not only a source of inspiration for Sadie, she also finds her creativity thrives while listening to music, it serves as an escape from the outside world and a means to focus throughout her creative process.

Little white lies magazine editorials and movie posters

This project illustrates concepts for Little White Lies, a magazine that highlights a different film in each issue with a consistent colour pallet throughout. Exploring Coraline, Us, and The Substance, the illustrations interpret their visual language, themes and aesthetic identity, brought to life in magazine editorials and film posters that reflect their storytelling.
