About me: Kingston School of Art BA Interior Design First class graduate.About project: My final project is focus on how the local industries problems can be improved through the reuse of the House Mill to form a circular economy.
The project is based on solving the problem of recycling waste coffee grounds in surrounding coffee shops and restaurants. The mycelium products produced by cultivating mycelium from used coffee grounds is used in the local film industry (for performance sets), and can also be used as a construction material for short-term events. Included in the proposal is the concept of renewable energy production, with hydroelectric power (tidal energy) supporting part of the building's electricity consumption. The removed existing materials are reused to reduce the usage of new materials. Projects can convene surrounding residents for experiences, bringing people together to feel the positive impact of renewable energy and biomaterials on life.
