About
Hi, I’m Sadie, a graphic designer and artist based in Manchester, with an interest in mixed media combining physical with digital. I have always been inspired by history, archives, nature and music and I really enjoy working on projects with these themes.
This project aims to highlight and celebrate the work and research women have done in natural history. Their work has often gone uncredited, unpaid and overlooked, with many having their names and work concealed away in the archives, and others have their male co-workers or husbands receive the credit. By highlighting their work and stories, and using real archive images, in an exhibition and publication, this project aims to not only give them recognition for their work, but also inspire others in the present day to take an interest in the natural world.
