My grandma suffered from glioma, against which she had fight for two or three years. But unfortunately, she finally left me and the world. During the surgery, my grandma got her hair shaved, and she had to have regular radiation therapy with a huge hallow in her brain after the surgery. But it seemed to me that she didn’t improve but rather grew worse, because sometimes she cannot even remember my name. However, when I was standing by her bed, she would still hold my hand. Seeing this, I can’t help thinking whether the treatment provided by hospitals is useful or not. Later I got to know a way of treatment called palliative care. I thought if my grandma hadn’t had the surgery, but took medicine, worked out and did what she loved like playing mahjong, would she have lived a happier life?
