About

My thesis study identified a key issue in fashion industry. The ideas of sustainable development and body positivity, despite being popular terms of this age, have a limited effect on the everyday practices of each human being living on earth. To bridge this chasm between theory and practice, my project engages in re-investigating our system of value, to find revolutionary possibilities. The study attempted to re-interpret the meaning of rust-dying in the backdrop of fashion industry’s conception ofbody positivity and sustainability.Buildingon a framework that merges both issues, a fabric is designed by using rust-dyeing technique.
