About me: Tipaponr has been working as an interior architect since 2014. She is now expanding her expertise into the field of bio-design, where she believes that the true sustainability solution can come from engaging a non-human perspective to create a creative and gentle design approach for a better world.Project Description
Marble has always been a popular choice for interior architecture worldwide. However, it is not a sustainable material for short-life commercial interior projects that are estimated to last only five years, especially considering that it takes hundreds to billions of years for the stone to form. "Re/Marmor", the bio-marble, aims to address this issue by exploring how bio-design can provide a solution. The experiment involves working with microorganisms, specifically Cyanobacteria, which can create calcium carbonate, the main component in marble.
