About

I am a mexican designer, I have a BA in Marketing and a second diploma in Fashion Design in Stituto Marangoni. I am interested in designing and developing avant garde collections, but lately I have been creating more commercial garments, which need to be created withlimited resources. During the pandemic I managed to create a small brand called Atabata Wear (atabatawear.com) but encountered myself with different obstacles. I realized that creativity is required in the supply chain and in problem solving too.I am currently studying my last year in MA textile and fashion design at NABA milano and have been developing more skills in textile manipulation and digital print.

Ritual femenino: A curatela di curanderia

Ritual Femenino is a womenswear collection exploring the intersection between the ritual of being a woman and spiritual protection rooted in my Mexican culture. Women, considered the weak sex in society, hold the spiritual power to bless or curse, embodying hidden strength. Inspired by this duality and the ongoing lack of safety, I created protections through a graphic language of textile manipulation, embroidery, prints and charms. Textiles, both sheer and rigid, express vulnerability and concealment. The ritual culminates in a fashion film where house and light are protagonists, extending into a spellbook of ten protective spells with textile pages and artifacts.
