About

Chevy Chanpaiboonrat, a young rising industrial designer who got into the world of ID thinking that there must be a way of making people's daily lives better through design. Graduating from an international school in Bangkok, Thailand, Chevy moved to New York City to pursue her her BFA Product Design at Parsons School of Design where she graduated with the School of Constructed Environment Honors award May 2023.Chevy's design philosophy revolves around infusing her creations with a sense of playfulness while upholding the principles of form, proportion, and functionality. Her designs are characterized by their self-explanatory nature, ensuring that users of all backgrounds can easily engage with her products. Her diverse portfolio primarily consists of tabletop products, including a wellness tabletop lamp collection, a practical and portable salad container, and an innovative cordless immersion set. Currently, she is paving her design-entrepreneur path with Buddy, a collection of tabletop lamps aimed at enhancing users' daily wellness experiences through companionship and colored-light therapy. Buddy lamps are designed to foster interconnectedness between the user and their Buddy, transforming the lamps into more than just a decorative object but rather into the user's daily wellness companion. The brand is set to soft launch on social media in early February 2024 alongside a crowdfunding campaign summer of 2024, coinciding with showcasing at NY NOW Summer 2024 Incubator section.

Investigating the process of meal prep and how it can encourage consumers to make healthier choices, I designed a portable salad container that is inspired by the idea of reusable water bottles, an existing object people already use in their day-to-day in the workplace under the concept of adhoc. The compact and portable nature of the Salad Cup allows young professionals to have a healthier and efficient way to meal prep for their workday as the insulated container keeps the vegetables fresh without reliance on a communal fridge which can sometimes be an unsanitary storage space.
