About
Hi there! I am Yiran Lin, an interdisciplinary designer who gets most inspired by the people and environment around us. I have a passion for active lifestyle and designing for a sustainable future, and I believe this is done by building channels for communities to understand and benefit from each other. Through my work, I have explored multiple topics, and one of my main directions currently is designing for a more accessible and diverse experience in sports.
The Stably set is a modular system of redesigned gym equipment that combines the core of the most common free weights: dumbbells, kettlebells, and barbells. Aiming to facilitate women’s experience in gyms, Stably is designed ergonomically to fit the female physique, breaking the norm of gym tools designed based on an average male body type. Stably’s ergonomic design is based on women’s physiques and is intended to be inclusive of all body types. It is a modular set that combines all of your traditional dumbbell, kettlebell, and barbell exercises in a single aesthetically calming set. The slide-and-fix system is engineered to assist your stability building in daily workouts, bringing the progress to you with a reassuring voice.
