The Devil's Incubus: phygital fashion collection
This project challenges the limited amount of queer representation across the digital landscape by creating a hybrid fashion collection in the style of 'House of Autonomy' that bridges both the physical and digital realms. The collection titled ‘The Devil’s Incubus’ pays homage to the my childhood terrain, saturated with old folklore in conjunction with the Catholic Church. Using the male Incubus as a main point of reference, this collection examines the intersection of queer identity and Catholic poppycock by diving into the complexity of spirituality, sexuality and religious rejection. This digital fashion film promotes the virtual collection through various contemporary software's such as CLO3D, Blender and Daz Studio. The final evolution of this project features the collection being made physically through digital pattern cutting and 3D printing - allowing for both, IRL and URL queer expression.
