About
Ye Chen is a Chinese visual artist, currently graduated from MA Fashion Photography in London College of Fashion. His bachelor degree is Animation. After he graduated in 2014, he joined a short video company called Musical.ly as an AR filter designer, two years later, this company merged into Bytedance and rebranded the name as TikTok. He contribute to give the users the best experience of AR function. He promoted to a product manager at the forth year when he work for TikTok. After the Covid-19 breaks out in 2020, he decided to renew the knowledge and experience, he come to London. Since he like to take pictures and with the rich experience of internet company, he focus on Metaverse and NFTs, he want to figure out what is the next step of fashion photography.
“The voice loses its origin, the author enters into his own death, writing begins.” (Roland Barthes, 1977) As a fashion photographer, Ye Chen currently finished his master project at London College of Fashion. He concentrates on using new methods to create images, the main elements of this project generated by AI, then he combines real human parts and another digital detail by post-processing.
