About

Hi!! I am Saksham, a passionate Part 1 Architecture Graduate from UWE Bristol with First Class Honours in BSc (Hons) Architecture, driven by a deep interest in socially responsive and sustainable design. Over the past few years, I’ve developed a strong foundation through live projects and honed my skills across various software tools through a summer internship and RIBA mentorship scheme. I'm a creative thinker with a love for research, community engagement, and thoughtful design processes. I enjoy collaborative work and am always eager to learn from others while contributing fresh ideas. My aspiration is to design meaningful spaces that improve lives, particularly through urban regeneration and inclusive design.

Paper Commons is a bold community landmark, nestled in the heart of Lockleaze, a suburb in north Bristol, UK. It is designed as both a working hub and a civic destination, blending sustainability, craft, and social connection. At its core, paper pulp processing units and open workshops turn discarded material into new products, embedding a circular economy into everyday life. Spaces for learning, making, and selling draw people together, while a public library and independent shops keep the site active throughout the day. Wide pedestrian routes link directly to Gainsborough Square, transforming it into a stage for the annual literature festival and a gathering place for spontaneous interaction. Light-filled interiors, intimate seating nooks, and adaptable studios encourage collaboration across generations. Paper Commons is more than a building. It is a catalyst for movement, creativity, and pride, transforming a simple material into a shared cultural identity.
