About
Hello, my name is Jillian Hackett. I am a Senior at Texas Tech University majoring in Apparel Design and Manufacturing, with an emphasis on womenswear, ready-to-wear and bridal design. I am passionate about all aspects of the fashion industry from; design, print design, pattern-making, retail, styling, customer service, concept design, visual merchandising, and editorial writing. Fashion has always been a consistent passion of mine since the age of nine. I am always looking for new ways to expand creatively, work in new areas and grow my portfolio. I am absolutely thrilled to share that I will be joining Nordstrom for the Summer 2024, as a Fashion Design intern at their corporate office in Seattle, Washington.
"The under painting" 3d Apparel line development
Project crafted for the Cottonworks Cotton Forward 3D Fashion Design Challenge 2024. This project entitled “The Under Painting” has been inspired by the work of Pierre-Auguste Renoir. In particular, this collection is inspired by his piece entitled, “A Study of Nude” which is currently on display in Dallas, Texas. This womenswear collection is composed of three looks that feature entirely Cottonworks Fabricast textiles, created utilizing CLO 3D software. The collection has been intentionally developed, to create a whimsical, feminine, and cotton-focused line that is inherently marketable for the target consumer. This project demonstrates my design ability and skillset within; CLO 3D, apparel textile applications, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator, alongside video editing.
