The two visuals produced are the result of a journey investigating the autism spectrum, with the goal of producing visuals of the once invisible. Being a spectrum, the experiences of autistic people are so vast and diverse which has been captured through the use of a watercolour effect in one of the visuals. As a consequence of living in a neurotypical world, autistic people often mask, meaning they hide their autistic qualities. While masking can be useful, it often has a negative effect on the mental health of autistic individuals, and so, the cracks in this visual show the toll it takes to suppress autistic traits. The rainbow colours used take inspiration from the rainbow infinity sign used to represent neurodivergence as it symbolises the diversity and uniqueness found in the neurodivergent community.
