About
After studying fine arts in Izmir University of Economics within BA program, I have completed my credits with Helsinki Metropolis University and I honed my skills through a MA education in Fashion Design from Nuova Accademia Di Belle Arti. This foundation provided me with a solid understanding of design principles, textiles, and garment construction, communication and styling.As a Turkish designer, I work at the intersection of cultural analysis, narrative systems and visual language. The authenticity and commitment to modernity is helping for my creations that retain their underground cult credentials while achieving global aesthetics in the arena of contemporary apparel. My design approach is a harmonious blend of contemporary elegance and sub-urban creativity. I strive to create pieces that push the boundaries of conventional fashion, empowering individuals to break free from societal constraints and find the power to redefine what it means to be unique and remarkable.
''Underrated People'' is a project on today's secret society of individuals where those power lies not in the spotlight, but in their resilience. The collection embodies a captivating fusion of street allure, workwear and couture, drawing inspiration from behavioural practices, by the dualism of parties and riots where people gather to flourish their rebellion, happiness, unity, resilience and support. Garments are constructed using bulletproof fabric and adorned with reflective piping, sublime prints on crinkle base of ripstop and nylon resulting in an extraordinary blend of durability, style, and individuality. By infusing workwear with couture aesthetics, ''Underrated People'' blurs the line between the practical and the extraordinary, encouraging individuals to embrace their true potential and embrace their own true distinct style. “Underrated People” couture streetwear collection embodies the belief that every individual, regardless of their background or circumstances, has the power to redefine what it means to be remarkable and deserves recognition for their resilience, creativity, and untapped sophistication.
