About

I design out of a desire to help. I like to design practical products that will help us solve problems and I like to research and discover points of intervention.During my undergraduate studies I focused on several significant projects for me. Interestingly, it was only after I graduated that I began to notice that these projects were created from a similar starting point for me: Issue that concerns a group that can be called a minority group (whether it is in danger of extinction, under poverty or with few rights). My approach is to collect knowledge with the aim of spreading it and increasing awareness. My agenda is that when the issue is brought to the public's attention- the kindness of people will motivate them to action. Therefore, from these tools: raising awareness, faith in people and a relatively "simple" and accessible proposal in a friendly sense (both in terms of use and in terms of sustainability) - I arrive at my final project, and also the final project. Above all of these stands the design and this is where the values of aesthetics and beauty combine for me.This combination can be seen through three significant projects from the study period:- One of them was a research paper that dealt with the place of embroidery in Israeli design, through a legendary fashion house. The Fashion House was created as a government company in the early days of the State of Israel, whose goal is to encourage work for immigrants using their traditional knowledge.- In my internship at TOM I designed a portable toilet chair for a sweet girl with CP disability. The goal was to design a practical product that anyone could buy available materials and prepare at home.- Through the hospitality brief, in an attempt to bring bees and humans together, I designed a beehive designed to be in the yard of the house. The beehive is designed in such a way that honey can be extracted, but it is limited and that is not its purpose.- The honey bee’s reproduction by those with interests pushes the wild bees. At NEST IN CITY, children and youth take responsibility through learning and sustaining experiential activity around the creation and nurturing of nesting houses for the wild bees in the community gardens.

Workshop for building modular nests for wild bees

Nestincity is a platform that turns a spotlight on the importance of wild bees and provides the support necessary for their survival in nature in general, and in the urban space in particular. The wild bee population is essential to the environment, but is in alarming decline caused by the competition for nectar and pollen resources, reduction of natural spaces and destruction of habitats By casting soil in dynamic moulds, the workshop participants will create nests for a variety of wild bees. Raising awareness of bee decline in nature, creative hands-on activity, and incorporating the outcomes in community gardens, the participants will help increase the pollinator population.
