The Xinao Knitwear Competition 2024 challenged 10 shortlisted designers to reimagine knit sportswear through innovation. I chose to explore skiwear, inspired by Field Journal’s documentary Vanishing Lines and the delicate textures of snowy landscapes. My collection captures the serene beauty and fragility of these environments—juxtaposing the soft, undulating lines of untouched snow with the harsh imprints of construction. Each piece is crafted from carefully selected performance yarns, chosen for their thermal regulation, durability, and environmental responsibility. This thoughtful approach earned me the "Most Sustainable Prize," underscoring the collection’s message: to protect and cherish the vanishing purity of nature.
