Social Responsibility is a key point of 21 century fashion sphere. Creation of a mini collection of five looks based on the unique aesthetic of a high street brand Urban Outfitters, using designs as a tool to draw attention to the chosen issues of modern society, was the task of the current project. Clinical Depression is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. the current project aims at two things: to raise public awareness of the mental disorders issue, and to help individuals already struggling with it to overcome their condition and, when possible, ease some of their symptoms.

Orange Culture is the unisex brand challenging what it means to be a man in Nigeria. It positions itself as more than just a clothing line, but a “movement” for a creative class that are “self-aware, expressive, exploitative and art-loving nomads”. Orange Culture tends to utilise natural locally produced fabric, paying special attention to prints, including those inspired by historical motifs.

This project is based on the world of insects. Variety of chitin shell elements of bugs inspired silhouettes and details of the first felted line. The idea of lightweight and delicate insect’s wings hiding beneath them is referenced in the second. It manifests itself in the choice of fabric (translucent silk chiffon) and pattern of gathered parts of garments. The combination of the two represents a fragile balance, beauty between seemingly diametric poles underlying nature.
