About
Hiya! I'm Aidan. I recently graduated from Massey University with a Bachelor's in Design (Honours).
My major allowed me to take both Concept design and Spatial design courses, which I did to pursue my interest in generating atmospheric spaces. I've since used these skills for exhibition curation and experience design.
In my final year, I explored the users of virtual worlds and what they seek from them. This study has since transformed into a long-term project to envision the future of immersive social platforms.
I encountered many concepts throughout my study that I felt were worthwhile expressing in one big piece. However, creating a framework that supported such a mess of ideas was a big challenge. I solved this by embracing the mess and by forging a narrative structure that blends surrealism and a unique genre of online content. Since the project concluded, I’ve been discovering all the paths I could have taken. However, without going through the process I did, I wouldn’t have had the clarity to find these paths. Now they are available to me. ‘CANVERSE’ is my START POINT.
