"The Evolution of Human to Android" is a collection of futuristic ensembles that form various permutations and combinations of looks by way of colour-changing tech and modular fashion. The ensembles provide the user control over the silhouette, print and color of the looks – as the ensembles can be worn as monochromatic, printed, sophisticated-simple or bold-experimental. Thermochromic inks are pigments that change color in response to a specific temperature. The ink on the garment activates when the battery pack placed inside the pocket is switched on. Activation time is approximately one minute. The batteries are rechargeable. When switched off, the garment reverts to black as the heating wires cool down. This process takes between 5-10 minutes, depending on for how long it was kept switched on. This project explores the metaphor of the amalgamation of technology and fashion. This idea is also a reflection of my professional and personal journey so far. From my engineering days to the years I submerged myself in design, the years spent discovering who I truly am have culminated into this project, which will ideally mark the beginning and conclusion of the circle that has been the search for my vocation. "A Plethora of Possibilities" is an avant-garde collection inspired by the philosophy of mind-body dualism. The characteristics and behavior of the mind and the body are captured through the project and the aim is to resolve the paradox between the extremities of the spectrum.
