About

I am a Cypriot Animator and Art Director who specializes in 2D animation, storyboarding, illustration, fine art and motion design. I graduated with a BA in Animation from Norwich University of the Arts and an MA in Design for Art Direction from London College of Communication (UAL). I love cute things, storytelling, history and my cats! I love experimenting with new mediums and collaborating with creatives with diverse backgrounds and disciplines.

As the 'natural capital of Cyprus', Nicosia has been a hub of culture and history for the island. From its humble beginnings to its more recent identity as the last divided European capital, it continues to adapt to the changing times without fully changing in the process. This project aims to imagine a 'better', more sustainable future for the city while retaining its aesthetic 'look' that has been influenced by Greek, Venetian, Lusignan, Ottoman, Levant and British colonial architecture over the millennia. Archaeofuturistic Nicosia is a speculative design project that examines the past to imagine a better future. Combining my knowledge of animation and storytelling with the research I’ve done and the tools provided to me by my course, I embarked on a personal journey to rediscover Cyprus, redesign it and present a new futuristic vision of it through my findings. I aim to use design to provoke and criticize current outdated systems in Cyprus and inspire positive change for the island’s betterment. Complementing this, a book of illustrations—inspired by visual development art books. This video is a showcase of my work for my final major project.
