During my time at university, I undertook a placement year that provided invaluable opportunities for both professional and personal development. Throughout these placements, I focused on developing and refining a diverse range of technical and creative skills. I gained hands on experience in various textile techniques, including embellishment, appliqué, and embroidery. Mastering these methods required attention to detail, patience, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
A celebration of the female body through a humanistic lens. Highlighting textures, marks and colours within skin while focusing on silhouette and form, using creative pattern cutting, abstract print, and fabric manipulation. Embracing imperfections, showcasing their inherent beauty as an ode to the experience of femininity.
Unravel SS 26 is follow on collection from Body Bound AW 25 a celebration of women’s resilience and the ongoing journey toward mental and physical health and awareness. Drawing inspiration from archival garments, each piece thoughtfully blends references with contemporary design, utilising slinky silhouettes that evoke both vulnerability and strength. Custom prints, informed by stories of women and symbols of healing and issues, are layered throughout the collection to create a visual narrative that honors the complexities of being a woman. By reimagining classic forms and integrating meaningful motifs, this collection seeks not only to empower women but also to spark conversations around mental well being and women’s health, breaking the silence and stigma through fashion’s expressive language.
