About
Hello, I'm Anna!
I'm an Illustration graduate with a love for colourful, character led images, paper and printmaking. I love how tactile projects can further develop play and worldbuilding, and like experimenting with mixing traditional and contemporary methods.
This has led to my current MA in Artistic Research in Amsterdam!
All the world's a stage, and in this project I wanted to make Romeo & Juliet come alive through building the various sets used in the play. They can be viewed on their own, or together as a set, with the opportunity to further expand them using figurines or projections. I also built the final scene, complete with a moveable dagger. The project was designed and prototyped by hand, before being designed and cut digitally. It went through several test stages (snippets of which is included here), originally with a basis in moorish architecture, changes in construction methods and dimensions. There is also a video submission at the beginning of the project.
