Jun Jeong is a menswear designer rooted in South Korea and Japan. With a deep respect and gratitude for the spirit of craftsmanship, his practice explores how to carry forward the legacy of the past while reinterpreting it through a contemporary lens seeking a considered balance between preservation and evolution.
Titled Nokori, meaning “what is left behind” in Japanese, the collection is subtitled Remaining Time, reflecting fragments of the self that span the past, present, and future. This concept extends beyond personal reflection to represent the continuation of traditional craftsmanship embracing transformation and quiet renewal in response to changing times. Seeks to capture the beauty found in imperfection, everyday simplicity, and the quietly enduring. Creating an intensely personal collection laced with memory and meaning, the work re-purposes time-worn vintage kimonos and other found or deadstock fabrics, honouring their origins and histories.
