Through a balance of transparency, harmonious blends of yarn glide against each other creating a mass of density and texture. Infused in hues of orange and blush and infiltrated by stripes of vivid red. This elevated contemporary collections fluidity and movement birth living textiles, exploring the relationship knitwear has with the body to engineer an extension of the new femininity portrayed by Loie Fuller in the Serpentine Dance.
A bold reinterpretation of 1960s women’s tennis uniforms, Lines of Play explores the union of structured sport and knitted expression. Drawing from Anni Albers’ abstract textiles, the collection reimagines the grid as both pattern and metaphor — for constraint, for movement, and for quiet rebellion. Crisp panelling and clean lines collide with the tactile intimacy of knitwear, engineered rib, and vibrant colour blocking. Blank athletic silhouettes are softened through textile tactility. Creating a collection of bashful knitwear through my use of marled deadstock yarns, it allows designs and colours to be minutely adapted depending on yarn availability, nodding to the sustainability needed in the modern fashion industry.
