My work is process-driven and rooted in research, conceptual thinking, and making — often exploring the relationship between materiality, cultural narratives, and visual communication.
I see graphic design not just as something to be seen, but as something to be experienced. This approach has led me to create projects that connect form and content through tactile processes, modular systems, and typographic experimentation.
(Back)Foreground emerged from my ongoing negotiation with white space – often uncertain whether to embrace or fill it. Presented as a publication, it records a series of typographic experiments that reframe white space not as a passive backdrop, but as an active, structuring presence. By blacking out content, language is reduced to visual form, allowing space itself to take centre stage. The experiments unfold from macro to micro – from page to line, word, and finally letter – revealing how white space can shape rhythm, legibility, and perception. At its core, (Back)Foreground asks how absence can carry meaning, and reminds us that design lives not only in what we see, but also in the spaces between.
