This master project in textile design specializes in knitting and spatial design by exploring how knit design can be applied outside traditional contexts, such as fashion. The aim is to design knitted textiles with tactile expressions and spatial structures that engage with the surrounding environment, such as public spaces like airports, historical churches, or train stations. The designs intertwines memories of the Beemster polder, honoring my grandfather, whose presence remains in the fields. Through this work, viewers are invited to experience nostalgia and introspection, deepening their appreciation of nature's subtle beauty and the personal connections that bind us to it.
