About

Hello, I'm Cheyenne Lashley! With over 4 years of retail experience, I am a highly motivated and skilled Fashion student who is passionate about art and the fashion industry. I have a strong educational background and comprehensive knowledge in design, pattern cutting, garment manufacture, fashion textiles, and knitwear.

Off the Walls is an innovative project that draws inspiration from the vibrant urban landscape, capturing the essence of walls adorned with captivating graffiti and art. As a daily witness to these urban masterpieces, I am driven to channel their energy into designing and printing unique and inspiring looks.

This thought-provoking project delves into the constant struggles women face and the perception society imposes on them. Exploring the realms of dress, behaviour, and lifestyle during the 1970s nun era and contrasting it with the present, it sheds light on the ongoing battle against societal expectations of femininity. Through empowering voices, women courageously speak up on their issues, igniting a powerful war for equality and self-expression.

Made in Croydon is a sustainable fashion line that embodies the multicultural community of Croydon. My designs reflect the rebellious spirit of the city, with a focus on patchwork, uniqueness, and sustainability. I believe the streetwear sector, in fact, is mostly made for men, so I wanted to open up the space for female streetwear. Our patchwork designs are made from upcycled materials, combining sustainability with a one-of-a-kind style that celebrates the diverse cultures and communities of Croydon. Each piece is a tribute to the city's music, graffiti, and culture, reflecting its energy and creativity. We are committed to minimizing our impact on the environment by incorporating sustainable practices throughout the production process. Made in Croydon celebrates individuality, creativity, and rebellion, empowering people to let their fashion reflect their unique and fearless spirit.
