Specialising in constructed textiles through the use of 3D manipulation and stitch. Creating pieces with an intended interior application
This project explores the ways in which geometric shapes can be used to create a contemporary collection which explores the role of graphic shapes in an interior space. The collection 'Jurassic Geos' has experimented with the role of layering and manipulated elements in order to create 3D aspects. As a result of this, the use of contrasting colours between neutrals and neons has allowed the different layers within the collection to be emphasised. Stitch has been incorporated throughout the collection to create texture within the pieces, however the use of CAD embroidery has allowed the graphic element to be conveyed. Therefore, the use of bold geometrics within this project has allowed me to incorporate 'Constructivist' influences.
An interior collection which considers the ways in which fun and play can shown by taking inspiration from playgrounds. I have explored the idea of fun through the use of 3D and manipulated elements which incorporate stitch.
