Hi, my name is De-En. The ability to create is, to me, one of the most powerful forms of freedom. It allows us to shape ideas into reality and to imagine new possibilities. But with that freedom also comes responsibility. The responsibility to design thoughtfully, with purpose, and with awareness of the impact our work can have. My goal as a designer is to create meaningful connections between human needs and the natural environment. I strive to share my optimistic mindset with those around me, always aiming to contribute to a better future.
OASyS tackles the challenge of urban heat islands by harnessing rainwater within a modular cooling system. Through adiabatic cooling and fine mist nozzles, it lowers ambient temperatures in public spaces, creating more comfortable conditions for both relaxation and movement during heatwaves. In contrast to conventional solutions such as trees, which often suffer during periods of drought, this system continues to perform reliably under extreme weather. At the same time, it functions as a rainwater retention system, reducing the risk of flooding from heavy storms. Its adaptable and modular design makes it suitable for diverse urban settings, providing a sustainable, efficient, and forward-thinking contribution to climate-resilient cities.
