I am a research artist and designer, exploring the dynamic between practical living carbon negative materials, their associated benefits and consumer's sacrificial threshold for care.
Cyanoskin: the living paint fighting climate change.
Cyanoskin is centred around an innovative living paint designed to transform buildings into carbon dioxide-absorbing structures, reducing emissions and addressing urban pollution. This prototype, now being developed into a business venture named Cyanoskin, has evolved through a collaboration between biologist, Holly Souza-Newman; business mogul, Antoinette Nothomb; and myself, an interdisciplinary designer and algal research artist, and supported by Carbon 13, Barclays Eagle Labs and UKGBC.
