Jewelry design student at SCAD with 7+ years metalworking experience. Background in theatrical armor crafting. Expert in wax carving and 3D modeling, proficient in Rhino 7, MatrixGold, and ZBrush. Focused on transforming creative visions into innovative, functional designs through precision craftsmanship.
This gauntlet began as a personal project driven by my fascination with sharp, angular aesthetics and my desire to expand my technical skills. Inspired by medieval armor, I wanted to create something that felt bold and a little dangerous while still being wearable and functional. The design explores rough textures and striking forms, contrasting them with the natural movement of the human body. As the piece shifts with the wearer, it produces satisfying sounds and dynamic shapes. Made from nickel silver, brass, and stainless steel rivets, it features an adjustable faux leather glove and a spring-latch arm brace for a secure and comfortable fit. This project was a valuable learning experience, allowing me to experiment with new techniques while bringing a vision to life. It reflects my ongoing curiosity about materials, mechanics, and the relationship between form and function.
