I experiment with a range of mediums, from traditional handicraft to digital tools such as Clo3D, combining traditional craftsmanship with virtual imagination. In my designs, objects from everyday life - my own, my family’s, or strangers’ - are transformed, reimagined, and re-evaluated, reflecting the cyclical nature of life and standing in quiet opposition to the fashion industry’s linear, consumption-driven model.
"Home Sweet Home" is an experimental fashion collection that deconstructs the multi-layered concept of home in the context of mass migration, geopolitical and ecological changes. Here, the garments are upcycled and crafted from materials sourced from my family’s home interiors, flea markets, and thrift shops. The transformation of past objects into new forms and meanings echoes the collection's themes of loss, resilience of memory and the transformative power of time. The emotion of the collection swings like a pendulum between harmonious comfort and aggressive heaviness: home is perceived not as a static physical space, but as an ever-changing emotional landscape, built by personal and collective sentiments and experiences. Through colour, materiality and construction, each model serves as a fragment of a larger visual narrative about our modern identity shaped by the complex relationship with our homes. Whilst acting as an allegory for the personal quest for home and belonging, the collection raises the question: What does it mean to belong to a place in a world that is constantly moving and changing?
