I'm Haeun Kim, a designer, thinker, and an illustrator.
I am currently based in Estonia just finished Masters program of Design and Craft at Eesti Kunstiakadeemia, after graduating from ArtCenter College of Design in Los Angeles with a bachelor in science for product design. With various work experiences, what I value the most in design is story & balancing.

I am always in search of subtle nuance of ordinariness, and values that are fading away. As I deeply value emotions and poetic senses, my works are heavily based on sensitivity. My creativity starts from curiosity and care for people or their usual surroundings. Loving Fernando Pessoa, my life goal is to master Portuguese and read his book in its original version.
Artificial Intelligence incites fear among artists and designers as a potential competitor, but it might also be a collaborative agency, adding a new dimension to creativity. The project "Craft 2.0" explores AI's role in design, assessing its human-like and imaginative attributes, and redefining its relationship with craft and technology. Rather than merely a tool, AI is positioned as a creative collaborator, leading to five distinct collaboration modes and corresponding flower vases. The initiative hints at a future where human and AI talents intertwine, creating a fresh blend of artistry and innovation.
