Openness: My project embraces openness through the use of 3D Knitting technology, which aims to make the design process transparent and accessible. Detailed documentation covers the entire design process, including the hardware and software used, as well as implementation and usability aspects. This transparency fosters a greater understanding and participation in sustainable design.
Collaboration: Collaboration is a core aspect of my project. I actively engage potential end-users and other stakeholders in the co-design process. This participatory approach ensures that the designs meet real needs and fosters a sense of ownership and empowerment among all participants.
Regenerative: The regenerative principle is central to my project’s ethos. By focusing on sustainability, the design and production processes aim to renew and restore ecological balance. The use of sustainable materials and circular economy principles ensures that the project contributes positively to environmental health.
Ecosystemic: My project acknowledges and integrates the complexity of interactions between cultural, natural, and social aspects. The designs aim to fill spaces in homes with limited room, avoiding fast furnishing and promoting sustainable, long-lasting solutions. This holistic integration not only improves the health of social and environmental systems but also contributes to a more efficient and conscious use of available space.
My project focuses on the design and creation of lamps using 3D Knitting technology, combining innovation, sustainability, and efficiency in the production of lighting products. This approach reduces waste and promotes the circular economy in the lighting design industry.
