Ukrainian fashion designer Ivanna Diadyk is deeply informed by nature, spirituality, and the desire to honour Ukrainian culture. Growing up in Kyiv, Ivanna studied Fashion Design and Art, forming a strong foundation of knowledge in Art History and design techniques. Moving to London in 2021 to pursue a BA in Fashion Design at Regent’s University, Ivanna continued developing her creative skillset. She started utilising natural dying and printing methods and environmentally friendly materials into her work. Since 2022, the ongoing war in Ukraine has resulted in mass instability and a deep sense of powerlessness for Ivanna and her people, many of whom had to flee the country for safer ground. With this, Ivanna’s designs and sources of inspiration shifted. She began incorporating symbolism and silhouettes that pay homage to Ukrainian traditions. But beyond this, she now endeavours to create garments that provoke profound feelings of freedom and empowerment for the wearer.
This collection is a tribute to transformation. Inspired by the feathers, forms, and flight of birds, it explores the tension between strength and delicacy, chaos and grace. Each look is sculpted in pleated fabric, designed to echo the movement of wings and the quiet power of breath. Crafted entirely by hand, the garments carry symbolic shades of red, black and beige – colours drawn from Ukrainian cultural heritage, each one speaking of protection, rebirth, and resilience. Nezlamna is not just about adornment – its about presence. It is clothing for women who are both grounded and untamed, spiritual and bold. Every fold holds a fragment of freedom.

Custom design for Sheila Nortley Created a bespoke silk gown worn by UK producer Sheila Nortley at the 2025 BAFTA TV Awards. The piece was constructed using Ivanna Diadyk's signature hand-pleated technique, combining sculpture and movement in a bold crimson silhouette.
Fly At Dawn is an enchanting collection that pays tribute to the women of Ukraine, evoking both freedom and protection for the wearer. Inspired by the history of witches – powerful women with a deep connection to nature – the designs are soft yet strong. Pleated silks and folds of lace produce ethereal figures, whilst structured leather garments create armour-like protection. The result is otherworldly warriors. The natural dying and printing technique known as ‘cyanotype’, whereby a liquid formulation responds to sunlight, is symbolic of the designer’s own experimentation with the powers of nature. This is combined with traditional Ukrainian details, such as billowing bishop sleeves, veils, and plaited hair, which are reimagined with an avant-garde edge. The plaits of hair have become accessories of rope. The oversized sleeves have taken on the form of wings for the wearer to take flight. Handprints cover the body symbolising safety and prayer. These unique details make this collection both magical and modern.
Collaborative project with Johannesburg Warnke. The metro project is about the feeling of space and the emotions that we experience in this place. This project also took inspiration from dystopian themes and 90s movies. The 1995 film Fallen Angels, directed by Wong Kar-wai, was one of the inspirations for this project. The atmosphere, colors and materials were the main points in this project.
