About
I am a multi disciplinary artist from Liverpool, based in London.
I create and combine mixed time-based media, working with moving images, instrumental sound, spoken word, illustration and live performance. My work navigates relationships between people, places, time and memory. I examine the transposition of spaces; recasting and reshaping location based research into new surroundings to submerge myself and my audience in immersive recreations of lived experiences.
After watching a TV talk about recapturing past encounters, a man searches the city through his space visor, whilst a puppeteer tries to summon a missed romantic connection. Splintered in the Trace is a short experimental film and audio-visual installation, which utilises a multi-media approach to craft a poetic exploration into memory and human connection. Combining in-camera techniques on digital and analogue cameras, with stop-motion animation, stylised characters and props, poetry and an instrumental soundscape, the project aims to immerse its audience in a tactile, surreal world, investigating the temporality of the encounter in fleeting moments.
