Hey there, I'm Jess!
I'm a Florida-based motion designer with a passion for all things creative, especially involving animation, typography, and color.
I am have recently graduated from the motion design department at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida, and I do my best to use the opportunities I am given to push myself and grow as a motion designer. When I'm not doing that, you can find me traveling, experimenting with letterpress, or drinking really good iced coffee :)
For my senior thesis, I embraced the challenge of crafting an original work that elicits emotions while showcasing experimentation, self-expression, and a unique aesthetic. I carefully created and matched my project's visual style with its message through extensive exploration. After creating 3D scenes in Cinema4D and meticulously rotoscoping with Procreate and Photoshop, I composited in After Effects. Reflecting on my remarkable experiences at Ringling College of Art and Design over four years, I found inspiration in poet Morgan Harper Nichols' words, capturing the sentiment of graduation and remembering the beautiful moments we all experience as we move on through life. Using personal memories and photos, I created styleframes that pay homage to the people and moments shaping my life, infusing heartfelt essence into art that is visually captivating.
